Single Point Registration Scheme for MSEs | GeM

Overview

The Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS) is implemented by the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) under the Ministry of MSME. It allows Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to register with NSIC and participate in government procurement tenders with special benefits.

Objective

The scheme aims to increase the share of MSEs in government procurement by removing entry barriers such as earnest money deposits and high turnover requirements. It helps small businesses compete with large companies in public tenders.

Eligibility

• Enterprises registered as Micro or Small under the MSMED Act
• Must have Udyam Registration
• Business must be operational and financially viable
• All sectors including manufacturing and services are covered

Exclusions

• Medium and large enterprises are not eligible for SPRS benefits
• MSEs with a history of blacklisting or debarment from government contracts
• Enterprises not registered under Udyam or equivalent prior registration

Application Process

1. Register on the NSIC e-portal or visit the nearest NSIC branch office
2. Fill in the Single Point Registration application form
3. Submit documents and pay the applicable registration fee
4. NSIC verifies the enterprise through document review and field inspection
5. Registration certificate is issued with a validity of two years

• Proof of installed capacity
