Overview

The Jhota Buggi, Camel, and Mule Cart Scheme is run by the Haryana Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (HSFDC). It provides financial assistance to Scheduled Caste individuals for purchasing animal-drawn carts as a primary means of livelihood.

This scheme supports a traditional occupation practiced widely across SC communities in Haryana and helps families own their livelihood assets rather than relying on rented or borrowed arrangements.

Objective

The scheme aims to support SC families engaged in or wishing to take up animal cart-based transport livelihoods. Affordable credit enables them to become self-sufficient micro-entrepreneurs in a sector that requires modest but meaningful capital.

It also preserves traditional and culturally rooted forms of livelihood within the SC community.

Eligibility

Exclusions

• Non-SC applicants
• Individuals with family income above the specified ceiling
• Existing HSFDC loan defaulters
• Applications for purposes other than the purchase of animal carts

Application Process

Applicants approach the nearest HSFDC district office or apply through the Antyodaya Saral Portal of Haryana. The application includes a purpose statement and relevant supporting documents.

After verification, the loan is sanctioned and funds are transferred to the applicant’s bank account.
