Overview

The Annath Pension Yojana is implemented by the Jharkhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JBOCWWB) to provide monthly pension support to children who have been orphaned following the death of a registered construction worker.

The scheme ensures that the most vulnerable children in Jharkhand’s construction worker community receive consistent financial support for their basic needs and development.

Objective

The objective is to prevent financial destitution among children left without parental support after the death of a registered construction worker. It supports the well-being, nutrition, and development of these children during their formative years.

The scheme reflects JBOCWWB’s commitment to protecting not just workers, but their families too.

Eligibility

• Child must be the orphan of a JBOCWWB-registered construction worker
• Both parents must be deceased for the child to qualify
• The deceased worker must have completed the minimum registration period
• Child must be below 18 years of age at the time of application

Exclusions

• Children with at least one surviving parent
• Children of workers who were not registered with JBOCWWB
• Orphans who have already reached 18 years of age
• Children receiving an equivalent orphan pension from another government scheme

Application Process

The guardian or caretaker of the orphaned child must apply to the district JBOCWWB office. The application should include the deceased worker’s registration proof and all required child documents.

Applications may also be submitted online through the Jharkhand Shramik Portal for faster processing.

• Death certificates of both parents
• JBOCWWB registration card of the deceased worker
• Birth certificate of the child
• Identity proof of the guardian
• Proof of guardianship if the guardian is not a close relative
• Bank account details for pension transfer
