PM SVANidhi Loan for Street Vendors: Rs 10K Loan
PM SVANidhi Loan for Street Vendors: Easy Rs 10,000 Business Loan
Street vendors form the backbone of India’s informal economy. The PM SVANidhi Yojana provides a government-backed loan of Rs 10,000 to help street vendors expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods. This scheme is specifically designed to support mobile vendors, shop owners, and service providers working on streets and in public spaces. SVANidhi stands for Scheme for Upgradation of Micro food Enterprises and Retail traders. Launched in June 2020, this scheme exclusively targets street vendors and unorganized micro retailers. It aims to formalize the street vending business and provide credit at low interest rates.
Loan Details and Interest Rates
SVANidhi offers simple loan terms: Rs 10,000 (one-time, non-renewable) with interest rate of 8% per annum. Repayment period is 12 months in monthly installments, with monthly EMI of approximately Rs 858. Processing fee is zero or minimal, and no collateral is required. Government provides 5% interest subsidy if you make timely payments, effectively reducing your rate to 3%.
