Overview

The Government of Gujarat, through the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation, provides education loans to tribal students who wish to pursue higher studies abroad. This scheme opens up international education opportunities for talented tribal students who may otherwise lack the financial means.

Eligibility

• Age should generally be between 18 and 35 years

Exclusions

• Non-tribal students are not eligible under this scheme
• Admission to institutions not recognized by the respective country’s education authority is not covered
• Students with existing defaults on government loans may be excluded
• Courses that are not degree or diploma programs may not be financed

Application Process

1. Obtain an admission letter from a recognized foreign institution
2. Contact the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation district office
3. Collect and fill out the loan application form
