Swarnima Loan Scheme for SC Women Maharashtra

Overview

Swarnima is a loan scheme offered in Maharashtra that provides financial assistance to women belonging to Scheduled Caste communities. The scheme is implemented through the Maharashtra Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation to help women start or expand income-generating activities.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be a woman belonging to a Scheduled Caste

• Age between 18 and 55 years
• Annual family income should not exceed the prescribed limit set by the corporation
• Must be engaged in or planning to start a self-employment activity

Exclusions

• Women not belonging to Scheduled Castes are not eligible
• Applicants exceeding the income ceiling are excluded
• Those with existing loan defaults with government corporations may be disqualified
• Activities not covered under the scheme’s approved list are not financed
