Overview
Mahila Samridhi Yojana is a Maharashtra state government scheme that provides financial support to women from the Scheduled Caste community, with a special focus on women in the Charmakar (cobbler) community. It extends assistance to widows, divorcees, and other economically vulnerable SC women to help them become economically independent through income-generating activities.
Objective
The scheme aims to uplift SC women who are in financially difficult circumstances, particularly those who are sole earners in their households. By offering subsidized loans, it enables them to start or expand small businesses and move toward financial self-sufficiency.

Eligibility

- Widows, divorcees, and single women are given priority
- Should not have availed of a similar scheme benefit before
Exclusions
- Male applicants are not eligible
- Non-SC women are not covered under this specific scheme
- Applicants with income above the prescribed limit
- Women who have already received a similar government loan and are in default
Application Process
- Visit the nearest LIDCOM (Leather Industries Development Corporation of Maharashtra) or SC welfare office
- Collect and fill in the Mahila Samridhi Yojana application form
- Attach caste certificate, income proof, and bank details
- Submit the application to the relevant LIDCOM office
- After verification and approval, the loan is disbursed to the beneficiary’s bank account
