Overview

The Loans for Tools scheme is run by the Meghalaya Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MBOCWWB). It provides financial assistance to registered construction workers to purchase tools required for their trade.

The scheme helps workers improve their productivity and earnings by enabling them to own professional-grade tools instead of borrowing or renting.

The objective is to support the livelihood of construction workers in Meghalaya by equipping them with their own tools. Owning tools reduces dependency on contractors for equipment and can open up independent work opportunities for workers.

5. On approval, funds are disbursed or tools are procured
