Overview
The Livelihood Opportunity Promotion Scheme for Scheduled Castes is a credit program implemented by the Uttarakhand government through the state SC finance corporation. It provides loans to SC community members to set up self-employment ventures and income-generating activities.
The scheme is designed to create sustainable economic opportunities for SC communities in both urban and rural parts of Uttarakhand.
Objective

Eligibility

- Age: 18 to 55 years
- Annual family income within the corporation’s prescribed ceiling
- Must have a concrete business or livelihood plan
Exclusions
- Non-SC applicants
- Applicants above the income ceiling
- Those with prior loan defaults with SC finance corporations or state agencies
- Non-residents of Uttarakhand
Application Process
- Visit the Uttarakhand SC Finance and Development Corporation district office
- Obtain the Livelihood Opportunity Promotion Scheme application form
- Fill in personal, community, and business details
- Submit the form with supporting documents
- Application is verified by field officer and district manager
- Loan is sanctioned on approval and disbursed to the bank account
