Overview

The LIDCOM Gattai Stall Scheme is a state government initiative by the Maharashtra government’s Leather Industries Development Corporation (LIDCOM). It provides financial assistance to Scheduled Caste individuals to set up small stalls or commercial outlets, enabling them to start or grow a small business. The scheme is an important step toward economic empowerment of SC communities in Maharashtra.

Objective

The scheme aims to create self-employment opportunities for Scheduled Caste beneficiaries by helping them establish their own stalls or small shops. It reduces financial barriers to entrepreneurship by offering subsidized loans and supporting income generation at the grassroots level.

Eligibility

  • Should not have previously availed of a similar government self-employment scheme

Exclusions

  • Non-SC applicants are not eligible for this scheme
  • Individuals who have previously defaulted on a government loan are excluded
  • Persons who have already received a similar business setup grant from any state or central agency are not eligible
  • Applications from outside Maharashtra are not considered

Application Process

  1. Visit the nearest LIDCOM district office or the Maharashtra government’s online portal
  2. Collect and fill in the application form for the Gattai Stall Scheme
  3. Attach caste certificate and other required documents
  4. Submit the application to the concerned LIDCOM officer
  5. After verification and approval, the loan and subsidy are disbursed to the beneficiary
