Exclusions

  • Families who are not permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible
  • Applications made significantly beyond the prescribed registration window may not be accepted
  • Families who have already received similar benefits under another conflicting scheme may be excluded
  • Girl children above the eligible age at the time of application are not covered

Application Process

  1. Register the girl child’s birth with the local municipal or panchayat office
  2. Approach the nearest Anganwadi center or District Social Welfare Office
  3. Fill out the Ladli Beti Scheme application form
  4. Submit required documents along with the application
  5. Benefits are deposited into the savings account linked to the scheme via DBT

  • Birth certificate of the girl child
  • Parents’ domicile certificate for Jammu and Kashmir
  • Identity proof of parents (Aadhaar card)
  • Bank account details (opened in the girl child’s name or joint with guardian)
  • Passport-size photographs of the parents
