The scheme makes it easy for farmers to access credit for feed, veterinary care, and other recurring expenses without going through long loan processes.

Objective

The scheme ensures continuous and timely credit flow to animal husbandry farmers. It supports round-the-year livestock management by providing flexible, revolving credit at subsidized rates.

Eligibility

  • Farmers and individuals engaged in animal husbandry, dairy, or fisheries in Madhya Pradesh
  • Must have a clean credit history with the lending bank
  • Age: 18 to 75 years (co-borrower required above 60)
  • Applicable to individual farmers, joint borrowers, and tenant farmers with livestock

Exclusions

  • Applicants not engaged in agriculture-allied activities
  • Individuals with existing loan defaults to the bank
  • Activities that are purely commercial without a farming connection

Application Process

  1. Visit the nearest nationalized bank or cooperative bank in Madhya Pradesh
  2. Request the KCC Pashupalan application form
  3. Provide details of livestock holdings and activity scale
  4. Submit the form with documents
  5. Bank assesses credit limit and sanctions the KCC
  6. Card is issued and credit is available for use
