The Incentives to Encourage Purchases from Local Suppliers Scheme is a Goa government initiative that rewards businesses for sourcing goods and services from local suppliers within the state. The scheme promotes local economic development and reduces dependence on external supply chains.
It is administered through Goa’s Department of Industries, Trade and Commerce.
Objective
The scheme’s core objective is to strengthen Goa’s local business ecosystem by creating demand for locally produced goods. It incentivizes businesses to prefer local procurement over imports from other states or countries, thereby boosting employment and income for Goa-based suppliers.

Eligibility

Exclusions
- Purchases from suppliers located outside Goa do not qualify
- Businesses with pending tax dues or legal disputes may be excluded
- Transactions not supported by valid invoices and payment proof are ineligible
- Government departments are generally excluded from the incentive
Application Process
- Register the business with the Goa Department of Industries, Trade and Commerce
- Maintain records of all qualifying purchases from local suppliers
- File a claim for the incentive at the end of the defined period (quarterly or annually)
- Submit invoices and payment proof along with the claim form
- Verification is conducted by the department
- Approved incentive is credited to the business’s registered bank account
