Eligibility
- Must be a working journalist in Bihar

- Must be employed by a registered newspaper, news agency, or media house
- Age: Typically 18 to 60 years
- Freelance journalists may be eligible if they meet accreditation norms
Exclusions
- Non-accredited journalists or media persons without valid press credentials
- Those already covered by group insurance through their employer
- Retired journalists above the maximum age limit
- Deaths or injuries caused by self-harm or criminal activity
Application Process
- Apply through the Bihar Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD)
- Obtain and fill the enrollment form
- Attach required documents
- Submit to the IPRD office for verification
- Insurance enrollment is processed through the designated insurer
