What is UAN?
The Universal Account Number (UAN) is a unique 12-digit number assigned to every employee contributing to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) in India. It acts as a centralized identifier for multiple Member IDs allotted to an individual by different employers, simplifying the management of EPF accounts.

The UAN Member e-Sewa Portal is an online platform provided by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) that allows members to manage their EPF accounts conveniently.

How to Activate Your UAN
Before accessing the portal, you need to activate your UAN:
- Visit: UAN Member e-Sewa Portal
- Click on: ‘Activate UAN’
- Enter Details: Provide your UAN, Member ID, Aadhaar, PAN, name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
- Get OTP: Click on ‘Get Authorization PIN’ to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Verify OTP: Enter the OTP and click on ‘Validate OTP and Activate UAN’.
- Set Password: Upon successful verification, set your password for future logins.

Once your UAN is activated:

- Enter Credentials: Input your UAN, password, and the captcha code.
- Sign In: Click on ‘Sign in’ to access your EPF account.
