An Income Certificate is an official document issued by the Revenue Department, NCT of Delhi, certifying your family’s annual income from all sources. It’s required to apply for government schemes, scholarships, EWS/OBC quotas, pensions, and more.
Documents Required
Mandatory Documents:
- Identity proof: Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence
- Address proof: Aadhaar, utility bills, Voter ID, Passport, Ration Card, Driving Licence, Registered Rent Agreement
- Salt‑signed self-declaration of income (digital upload + original to SDM/CSC)
- Passport-size photo (2”×1.75”)
Income Proof:
- Salary slips or ITR form, bank statements
- BPL/NFS or Ration Card if applicable
Additional (if applicable):
- Previous income certificate
- Supporting docs: rent receipts, school fees, electricity bills
How to Apply Online via Delhi e‑District
- Visit e‑District Delhi portal and register/login using Aadhaar + OTP
- Go to Apply Service → Department of Revenue → Issuance of Income Certificate
- Fill in personal & family income details, purpose, and address
- Upload required documents and passport photo
- Review, submit, and complete payment (approx ₹50)
- Submit once OTP is verified, and note your application number
Offline & Doorstep Option
- Offline: Download form from portal → visit SDM/Tehsildar/CSC → attach documents, affidavit, photo → pay ₹50 → submit
- Doorstep: Call helpline 1031 → a Mobile Sahayak visits → collects documents with fee → applies online for you
Processing Time & Validity
- Issuance takes ~14 days
- Certificate valid for 6 months to 1 year (per district norms)
How to Track & Download
- Track: e‑District “Track Your Application” → select Department + Service → enter App No. & name → view status
- Download: Go to “Print/Download Certificate” on portal → enter App No, DOB → authenticate via OTP → download PDF
