Why is a trading app not opening?
This is usually caused by one of a few things: an outdated app version that needs updating, a temporary server-side issue on the broker’s end (more likely if it’s happening broadly rather than just on your device), an unstable internet connection, insufficient device storage or memory causing the app to crash on launch, or a corrupted app cache. You first check whether the app needs an update, then check your internet connection, and then try a simple restart of the app or device before assuming something more serious is wrong. If it’s a broker-wide outage, checking the broker’s official social media or status page usually confirms this quickly, since a widespread issue typically gets acknowledged and updated on by the broker fairly fast, especially during market hours when it directly affects trading. If none of this resolves it and the issue seems specific to your device or account, you contact broker support directly rather than repeatedly reinstalling the app without understanding the root cause first.
