Why are technical indicators not saved on a chart?
This usually happens because the indicators were applied to a chart session rather than saved as a persistent template or preference, meaning they reset once you navigate away, switch stocks, or close and reopen the app, depending on how that specific platform’s chart settings are structured. Some trading apps require you to explicitly save a chart layout or template (often through a ‘save layout’ or similar option) for indicators to persist across sessions, rather than assuming any indicator you add automatically becomes a saved default. App updates or a cleared cache can also occasionally reset saved chart preferences, especially if the update includes changes to how the charting module stores local settings. You check whether the platform has an explicit save or default-template feature for chart indicators, and you use it deliberately rather than assuming indicators you’ve added will simply persist on their own.
