Generally yes, for raw execution speed and interface responsiveness, since desktop platforms typically run on more processing power, a larger and more stable data connection (often wired), and a purpose-built trading interface optimised for handling multiple simultaneous data streams (several charts, a detailed order book, multiple watchlists) more smoothly than a mobile app compressed onto a small screen. Desktop terminals also tend to offer more advanced order types, hotkeys, and multi-monitor support, which matter for active, high-frequency trading where every second of latency can matter. That said, the actual order execution speed at the exchange level is the same regardless of which interface you place the order from, the difference is mainly in how quickly and smoothly you can see data and act on it, not in how the exchange processes the order itself once submitted. You use the desktop terminal for active, screen-intensive trading and rely on the mobile app for convenience and monitoring when you’re away from a computer, rather than treating one as strictly better for every situation.
