How long does a trading-account withdrawal take?

Most brokers process withdrawal requests within one working day if placed before the broker’s daily cut-off time, with the funds typically reaching your bank account the same day or the next business day via IMPS or NEFT. If the request is placed after the cut-off, it usually gets queued for the next business day’s processing cycle instead. Withdrawals requested on a weekend or a market holiday will only start processing once the next working day begins, since bank settlement systems and broker back-office processes don’t run on non-business days. If the withdrawal involves recently sold shares still within the T+1 settlement window, that can add an extra day before the amount is even eligible to be withdrawn, separate from the bank transfer time itself. You check both the broker’s specific cut-off time and whether the funds are fully settled before expecting same-day credit.
