How can I withdraw money from a trading account?
You go to the funds or withdrawal section of the broker’s app or web platform, enter the amount you want to withdraw (up to your available withdrawable balance), and confirm the request, which then gets processed to your registered bank account, the same one linked to the trading account. Brokers only allow withdrawals to the bank account on file for KYC and anti-fraud reasons, so you can’t redirect a withdrawal to a different account without first going through the process to update your registered bank details. Depending on the broker and the time you place the request, it either processes the same day or the next business day, and most brokers have a specific cut-off time (often mid-to-late afternoon) after which the request rolls over to the next day. You check the withdrawable balance first, since requesting more than what’s actually free (as opposed to what’s blocked in margin or unsettled trades) will get the request rejected or adjusted.
