How can I create a stock watchlist?
Most trading apps have a dedicated watchlist section, usually accessible from the home screen or a bottom navigation tab, where you can search for a stock by name or symbol and add it to a list for easy tracking without needing to place an order. Many platforms let you create multiple separate watchlists, useful for grouping stocks by sector, strategy, or purpose, like a ‘long-term holdings’ list separate from an ‘intraday watch’ list. Within the watchlist, you can typically see live price, day’s change, and sometimes quick access to place an order directly, without navigating to a separate stock detail page first. You organise your watchlist deliberately rather than letting it grow into a long, unstructured list, since a focused watchlist of stocks you’re actually tracking closely is far more useful for quick decision-making than a sprawling list you’ve stopped actively reviewing.
