1. Activation: How to Register

Requirements:

  • SBI account with registered mobile
  • CIF number, account number, branch code
  • Debit card (or branch visit)

Online Activation Steps:

  1. Visit SBI Net Banking portal → Personal Banking → New User Registration/Activation
  2. Enter account, CIF, branch code, country, mobile number; select access rights
  3. Submit Captcha → get OTP → submit again
  4. Choose “I Have My ATM Card” → validate debit card details
  5. Set username and password (mix of upper/lowercase, number, special char)
  6. Set a profile password and security questions
  7. Registration complete—choose “Account Summary” to view accounts!

If you don’t have a debit card, opt for branch activation.

2. Login: How to Access Your Account

  1. Go to SBI Net Banking login page
  2. Enter username, login password, and captcha, then click Continue
  3. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile
  4. On first login, select a security image/message for added protection

Password Reset:

  • Click Forgot Username/Login Password → verify via profile password, ATM info, or OTP
  • Mandatory password change every 365 days
