SBI Debit Card PIN Generation: Step-by-Step Guide

Secure your SBI debit card with a four-digit PIN easily and safely. SBI offers multiple methods—from SMS and ATM to online banking and call centers.

1. Generate PIN via SBI ATM (Green PIN)

1. Visit any SBI ATM.
2. Insert your debit card & choose “PIN Generation” or “Set PIN”.
3. Enter your 11-digit account number and registered mobile number.
4. Receive an OTP (Green PIN) on your mobile.
5. Re-insert card, select Banking → PIN Change.
6. Enter the OTP, then choose and confirm your new 4-digit PIN.
7. Confirmation SMS follows.

2. Generate PIN via SMS

1. Send from your registered mobile: PIN <last 4 digits of card> <last 4 digits of account> to 567676.
2. You’ll get an OTP (Green PIN) valid for 2 days.
3. Visit any SBI ATM, follow PIN Generation, validate OTP, and set your PIN.

3. Generate PIN via Internet Banking

1. Log in at OnlineSBI.
2. Navigate: e-Services → ATM Card Services → ATM PIN Generation.
3. Choose authentication: OTP or Profile Password.
4. Input your chosen PIN or part of it; remaining digits will be sent via SMS.
5. Enter the full PIN as prompted.
6. Confirmation appears online and via SMS.

4. Generate PIN via YONO or SBI Quick App

1. Open YONO app and log in.
2. Go to Cards → My Debit Card → Set/Reset ATM PIN.
3. Enter and confirm your 4-digit PIN.
4. Verify via OTP sent to your mobile.
5. Success message appears on screen and via SMS.

5. Generate PIN via Customer Care (IVR)

1. Call from your registered mobile:
   1800 1234 / 1800 2100 / 1800 425 3800 / 1800 11 2211 / 080‑26599990.
2. Select language, then:
   ATM & Prepaid Card Services → Generate Green PIN
3. Input card/account details as prompted.
4. Receive OTP via SMS.
5. Visit ATM within 2 days, use PIN Change, validate OTP, and set your PIN.

Prefer in-person assistance?

• Branch: Fill out PIN generation form with debit card and ID. Wait for SMS or receive PIN directly.
• GCC/Kiosk: Swipe your card, request Green PIN generation, enter mobile/account details. Use OTP at ATM to set PIN.

PIN Reset / Regeneration

Already have a PIN but want to change it?

• Use Internet Banking: Navigate to ATM PIN Reset/Regeneration under Cards. Obtain OTP and complete ATM-based PIN set.
• You can also visit an ATM and use PIN Change after OTP generation.
