Indian Bank ATM PIN Generation (Green PIN) — Methods & Security Guide

Indian Bank offers a “Green PIN” feature to generate or reset your 4-digit ATM/debit card PIN using multiple secure channels. No branch visit required!

1. Generate PIN at an Indian Bank ATM

  1. Insert your Indian Bank debit card at any Indian Bank ATM.
  2. Choose your preferred language, then select Generate/Set PINGenerate OTP.
  3. Enter and confirm your account number. Then confirm the displayed details (name, masked number).
  4. Receive OTP on your registered mobile number.
  5. Reinsert the card, go to Set PIN, enter the OTP, then choose and confirm your 4-digit PIN.
  6. ATM will print a receipt confirming successful PIN setup.

2. OTP via SMS followed by ATM PIN Set

  1. From your registered mobile number, send: nginxCopyEditPIN <last 4 digits of card> <last 4 digits of account no> to the bank’s SMS service.
  2. You’ll receive an OTP valid for 48 hours, usable at any Indian Bank ATM.
  3. Visit the ATM → use Generate OTP and then Set PIN using the OTP like in the ATM method to choose your new PIN.

3. Via Mobile Banking App (IndSMART)

  1. Open the IndSMART mobile app and log in.
  2. Navigate to Card Services → Set Debit Card PIN.
  3. Enter your debit card’s expiry date (MM/YY) and request OTP.
  4. Receive the OTP on your registered mobile, enter it in the app.
  5. Create and confirm your new 4-digit PIN—activated instantly.

4. Through Internet Banking (Indian Bank Portal)

  1. Login to your Internet Banking account.
  2. Go to Options → Debit Card Services → Change ATM PIN.
  3. Select your account and card, enter card expiry date.
  4. Click Generate Green PIN; you receive OTP on registered mobile.
  5. Enter OTP and submit to set your new 4-digit PIN.

5. Via Phone Banking (IVR)

  1. Call the toll-free numbers: 1800-425-00000 or 1800-425-4422 from registered mobile.
  2. Choose Debit Card ServicesRegister ATM PIN option.
  3. Enter your debit card number, expiry date, account number, date of birth.
  4. Redial IVR → choose option to set PIN → enter card CVV.
  5. Choose and confirm a 4-digit PIN; confirmation will arrive via SMS.
