The Union Budget for the financial year 2025-26 will be presented today by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, setting a new record as the first finance minister to present the budget for eight consecutive years. However, it’s worth noting that former Prime Minister Morarji Desai holds the overall record, having presented ten Union Budgets—six during his tenure as finance minister from 1959 to 1964, and four more between 1967 and 1969.
