1. Visit the UIDAI’s official website at uidai.gov.in.

2. Search for the Aadhaar Service section.

3. You will be directed to a page where you can sync your Aadhaar number with your mobile device.

5. The one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number.

6. To verify your credentials, enter the OTP in the appropriate field on the UIDAI website.

7. Click on “Confirm Service Request”. 

8. You will get a reference number, which you can use to track the status of your application.

9. A designated officer will visit your residence and verify your credentials using a mobile biometric device.

10. The officer will complete the linking process.

Verify mobile number on Aadhaar card

Once you have registered your mobile number with UIDAI, the next step is to verify the number on Aadhaar card.  

Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website

Step 2: Select “Aadhaar Services” section

Step 3: Click on verify mobile number

Step 4: Once you enter the required details like Aadhaar number and mobile number, you will receive an OTP.

Step 5: Click on “Verify OTP” to complete the procedure.

Step 1: Collect the Aadhaar Correction Form and furnish the information required. Provide the mobile number you want to link your Aadhaar number with.

Step 2: Hand over the filled-up form to the official, who will verify your biometrics.

Step 3: Once your biometrics are authenticated, the official will hand you the acknowledgment slip.

Step 4: You can use the Update Request Number (URN) mentioned in the slip to track the status of your Aadhaar updation request.

  • Key in your registered mobile number, and click on “Get OTP.”
  • Enter the OTP received on your phone and proceed to the next step.
  • Select “Aadhaar Online Services” from the dropdown menu 
  • Click on the relevant option and update your new mobile number
  • Enter the captcha code, and enter the OTP you receive on your mobile phone
  • Click on Save and Proceed

Documents required for linking Aaadhar card with mobile number

Linking your Aadhaar card to a mobile number is pretty easy, provided you have all the required documents handy.

1. The primary identification document is your unique UID card, so keep it ready.

2. Provide your Aadhaar card number and the mobile number you need to link. 

3. For verification purposes, carry proof of identity documents like a PAN card, passport, voter ID, or driver’s license.
