Real estate, auto and information\u2011technology stocks led the fall, while only a handful of index stocks, notably HDFC\u202fBank and Dr\u202fReddy\u2019s Laboratories, managed to end in the green. On Monday (previous trading session) they sold equities worth around \u20b93,263\u202fcrore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought approximately \u20b94,234\u202fcrore. FII net outflows for January so far exceed \u20b927,000\u202fcrore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Currency<\/strong> \u2013 The Indian rupee ended around 90.97 per US dollar, down six paise, hitting fresh lows. Persistent FII outflows and global risk aversion hurt the currency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Volatility<\/strong> \u2013 India\u202fVIX rose roughly 8\u202f%, suggesting traders are paying up for downside protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Commodity cues<\/strong> \u2013 Brent crude hovered near $77\u201378 per barrel. With Wall Street closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there was no stabilising overnight cue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Weak rupee and FII selling<\/strong> \u2013 The rupee continued to weaken, approaching 91 per US$, reflecting currency\u2011market stress. Higher bond yields in the U.S. and Japan signaled tighter financial conditions. Shares were volatile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Indiamart Intermesh<\/strong> \u2013 Q3 net profit jumped ~55.6\u202f% to \u20b9188\u202fcrore on revenue growth of ~13.4\u202f%. Stock held firm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SRF Limited<\/strong> \u2013 Reported a 59.7\u202f% increase in Q3 net profit (~\u20b9432\u202fcrore). Another support lies near 24,900\u201325,000. If Nifty holds the 25,100 zone, some short\u2011covering relief could push it toward 25,500\u201325,700. A decisive break below 25,000 may invite stop\u2011loss\u2011triggered selling toward 24,800. Momentum indicators remain oversold but no bullish reversal pattern has formed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bank Nifty<\/strong> \u2013 Displaying relative resilience. Immediate support sits at 59,500; deeper support around 59,200\u201358,800. Resistance levels are near 60,000 and 60,400.
