Interest rates for post\u2011office FDs are reviewed quarterly by the Ministry of Finance. For the July\u2013September\u00a02025 quarter, rates range from <strong>6.90\u00a0% to 7.50\u00a0% per annum<\/strong> depending on tenure. Minors can open accounts under guardian supervision. Depositors can prematurely close the account after six months with a penalty.
